Strategic Management and Human Resources involves a synthesis of all of the functional business disciplines. Students evaluate the current competitive strategy of a firm including its financial position. They then conduct strategic analysis of quantitative market data to understand national and global trends. Students design specific action plans and new business strategies for firms to gain a sustainable and ethical competitive advantage. They consider the important role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in optimizing human resources. Through analysis of internal data, they learn to implement and execute strategy by understanding recruitment, resource allocation, negotiation, employee motivation, and compensation.
