PSYD 717 - Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Screening Unit(s): 3
This course will provide an overview of the empirical base informing neuropsychological assessment measures for individuals across the lifespan and will expose students to the connection between common neuropsychiatric presentations and their neurological correlates. Standard approaches to neuropsychological screening will be covered with special emphasis on the ethical responsibilities and considerations associated with the assessment of diverse populations. This course is foundational and will provide a basis in the principles used for selecting, administering and interpreting neuropsychological assessment tools that may be further explored in future training.
