Describes and analyzes the challenges facing post-communist Russia and nearby states, including Ukraine, Belarus, and the states of Central Asia and the Caucasus. Evaluates progress towards creating economic prosperity and political democracy, focusing on both domestic and foreign policies. Offered every other year.
