KIN 330 - Exercise and Health Promotion Unit(s): 4
This community engaged learning course provides students with a broad overview of current health concerns facing Americans and the role of exercise in combating these health challenges. We focus on understanding bias and prejudice with the goal of social justice for all people. Students build skills and apply knowledge by developing a health promotion intervention for a specific at-risk population.
Prerequisite: (BIOL 113 with a minimum grade of C and BIOL 114 with a minimum grade of C and BIOL 115 with a minimum grade of C and BIOL 116 with a minimum grade of C) and (ESS 120 with a minimum grade of C or KIN 120 with a minimum grade of C) and (ESS 200 with a minimum grade of C or KIN 200 with a minimum grade of C) and KIN 220 with a minimum grade of C Restriction: Class restricted to Junior and Senior; Field of study restricted to Exercise and Sport Science, Kinesiology Major College of Arts and Sciences
