INTD 385 - UTEC Fieldwork MS I Unit(s): 1 to 2
This community-engaged learning course combines reflection on teaching with hands-on engagement in local classrooms. This allows us to learn from master teachers, to develop our understanding in community, and to appreciate the diversity of learners. Through contextualized observation and practice, students develop skills to be better educators to facilitate small scale positive social change. This course helps students integrate their fieldwork experience in the classroom with a range of different pedagogical methods, developing multiple approaches to address the strengths and needs of culturally diverse students in California.
Please note that students must take 4 units of CEL to fulfill the graduation requirement. If you choose to take this course for less than 4 units, you will need to take an additional course (or courses) to complete a total of 4 units of CEL and be eligible for graduation.
