ASL 101 - First Semester ASL

Not open to native signers. Study of the fundamentals of American Sign Language. Preparation for visual/gestural communication including basic information relating to Deaf culture, intensive work on comprehension skills and grammatical structures. Novice to Beginner proficiency.

This course includes a mandatory one-hour weekly group conversation class with a tutor for nine weeks of the semester outside of the class meeting time.
