PSYD 797C - Summer Practicum

This course, designed to support students in clinical placements during the summer semester. This course is a progression of the summer practicum course series and includes group consultation with peers and instructor regarding clinical work and continued didactic training in advanced culturally sensitive case conceptualization and treatment planning skills within integrated care and community mental health settings expected during Practicum 3A and Practicum3B. During the first half of the summer, content emphasizes applications of evidence-based practices for culturally sensitive treatment termination and, during the second half of the summer, advanced applications of evidence-based practices for effective and culturally sensitive treatment beginnings. Professional development topics continue the focus on preparation and support for the clinical psychology internship application process.


Prerequisite: PSYD 720 and PSYD 740
