CHEM 260 - Analytical Chemistry


Credits: 4

An introduction to the principles and practices of analytical chemistry with an emphasis on quantitative methods. Classical methods such as titrimetric and volumetric analyses as well as basic instrumental methods involving spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and chromatography will be performed. There will be an emphasis on developing skills in professional report writing in the ACS style and project type work. Two laboratory meetings and two lectures weekly. Offered every Spring. Prerequisite: CHEM 113  and CHEM 114  with grade of C (2.0) or higher.
